Abstract The research was conducted to study the performance of cucumber under protected conditions with different plastic mulches. This experiment in a split plot design, having irrigation levels as main and mulches subplots. revealed that mulching helped maintain soil moisture higher than bare black mulch showed temperature (23.3%) 100% irrigation. Plant height yield also influenced by mulching. decreased relation reduction level. highest water use efficiency (WUE) found 50% (32 kg·m −3 ). In conclusion, performed well among treatments because favourable temperature. consideration WUE, well.
